Accredited Firearm Unit Standards

Our PFTC-accredited firearm competency training covers the required unit standards for private firearm ownership and business firearm use in South Africa.

All training is conducted by certified instructors and includes both theoretical instruction and practical firearm handling at our professional indoor shooting range.

All competency packages include course material, range fees, ammunition, firearm hire and assessor evaluation for the practical assessment.

The Law for Firearm Competency

R400

This compulsory unit standard covers the legislation related to firearm ownership in South Africa, including the Firearms Control Act 2000 (Act No. 60 of 2000). It must be completed before the practical firearm competency categories, as it forms the legal foundation for responsible firearm ownership and licence applications.
